Enjoy full access to the house, excluding the shed and a locked owner’s closet near the laundry. While the on-site boats are not available for use, the marsh is the perfect spot to launch your own kayak or canoe during your stay.

			We stayed at Tina's to see family and it was a great location for that. Lots of restaurants in the area, easy to get to Cape Cod and Plymouth (enjoyed Plymouth sites).  We appreciated the town beach permit and brochures and menus.  As others noted AC unit is in the living room so used a box fan to get bedrooms cooled. 			Had a great stay. It is super cute and the perfect house for our little cape cod trip. The waterfront views were so nice to wake up to. The AC unit kept the entire place cool. There’s a beach pass to be able to go to one of the local beaches. The home has plenty of games, towels, and everything you need. The location was great and central to all of the places we wanted to go on our trip. This included Martha’s Vineyard, Boston, New Bedford, and Chatham. There were plenty of restaurants and coffee shops nearby. New Bedford had a great nightlife/bar scene and was only 20 mins away. Overall, great location & home.		 - 7/22/2025

			We really enjoyed our stay. Tina was very communicative. The house was great and the family really enjoyed fishing off the dock.  We were close to Cape Cod and did enjoy a day in Falmouth. My only suggestion would be to get sofas for the livingroom rather than futons. 			Beautiful location! We had a wonderful stay - it felt like home the minute we stepped inside. The kitchen is remarkably well stocked, equipment wise. There are lots of large pots and serving dishes to prepare almost any seafood feast you could imagine, and the local seafood market was excellent!One note is that the house is a bit of an echo chamber, and the neighboring houses are quite close. We noticed with the windows open that you could clearly hear conversations in the house from out on the dock.  A minor thing, but it did make us feel like we had to keep the windows closed most of the time so as to not bother the neighbors.		 - 5/26/2025

			Bay Breeze was a great way to take respite.  It is in a quiet area with an abundance of nature to observe. Location is convenient to Buzzards Bay, Onset and the Canal. 			Great neighborhood only a few blocks walk to beach/playground. The house is lovely, bright and more spacious than the pictures show. as other reviewers have mentioned there is a steep turn to the stairs but good traction and railing so we had no problems. 			Fairhaven is such a cute town. I enjoyed my daily morning walks from the center of town to the beach, Tina’s house is perfectly situated in a neighborhood with ample sidewalks. There is an ice cream shop, restaurants, coffee shop, beach, and beautiful library nearby. I will try to stay here whenever I’m in area to visit family. It is a quick drive to the Vineyard ferry and downtown New Bedford. The cottage is old, but has been updated  with excellent air conditioning. Steps to upstairs bedrooms are very steep. Ok for young ones though. My teens loved having their own space with sitting room. There is a long bike trail near the house, but no place in town rents bicycles (business opportunity!), so bring a bike if you can!		 - 7/07/2025

			We loved our stay at Maple By the Bay - Fort Phoenix!  Tina was a great host - extremely responsive!  We felt right at home. Kitchen was well stocked and lots of extras in the pantry.  Linens and towels were plentiful and of high quality. Great mattress. Great supply of household items (paper towels, toilet paper, detergents) that we would normally have to purchase locally during our stay - thank you, Tina!  Very historic and quiet neighborhood.  The house technology has a strong and consistent wifi signal. Just a short stroll from the house, you’ll find a public beach, local dining spots, and a popular ice cream shop. The island’s main beach is also just a few minutes’ drive away, and we provide a parking permit for your convenience.

The Space

First Floor: A fully equipped kitchen, living room, dining area, a small sitting room with a double pullout couch, and a half bath. Step out onto the covered back deck to enjoy the yard and a BBQ grill.
Second Floor: Features a primary bedroom with a queen bed, a second bedroom with two double beds, and a full bathroom with a laundry area.

We supply a public beach pass for access to all town beaches. Please note, there is a $300 replacement fee for a lost or missing pass. For the next guest’s convenience, we ask that you return it to the house manual at the end of your stay.

			Tina is a wonderfully responsive host.  Her home was clean and bright, with a relaxing deck surrounded by well-planned perennial gardens.  The outside shower and central A/C were a huge bonus as the first of our two weeks stay entailed very hot, outdoor work in the area.  The smaller local beach within walking distance is safe and full of exploration for families with small children, and the expansive town beach provides soft sand with beautiful views of Buzzards Bay.   You'll need to bring beach chairs and umbrellas as necessary, however the home is otherwise provided with ample linens, paper goods, and a fully supplied kitchen.  Don't hesitate to book this West Island gem.  We plan to be back in the future.		 - 8/09/2025

			We had a WONDERFUL experience at Strawberry Moon and plan to return for years to come! Tina was fantastic to work with and provided us with everything we needed for a memorable beach week. The house is gorgeous and spacious, right in the heart of the island. The little beach and the ocean cream shop are walkable and all the amenities of home are right at your fingertips. We also took several day trips onto the Cape and enjoyed so many adventures. The house is beautifully remodeled with a stunning kitchen, a lovely sitting area, and bright and spacious family room. 			Traffic in CT added 2 extra hours to our travel time so we could not wait to arrive and relax, the house is beautiful! The furniture was comfy the back deck was great and the overall vibe was modern New England which was great. The AC would not turn on and Tina answered our text right way and was over within a half hour and got it running. We had plans in Newport 50m or so to the west and Martha’s Vineyard 55m to the East it was a great mid way point and a walkable Ice Cream parlor was an added bonus. We were a party of 5 for my daughter’s 16th birthday and we had plenty of space. The only negatives I have are the coffee pot is tiny (for non caffeine addicted people it’s prob fine), the shades in the primary bedroom allow in a lot of light very early in the am and the shower water pressure in the morning was better than at night no clue why but manageable. It was a perfect 4 day getaway.		 - 6/21/2025

It is easily walkable (10 min) to a restaurant called Off the Hook - waterside/marina dining with good choices of burgers and seafood.  Live music on the weekends. 			This rental was a 10/10 stay. Me, my husband, and our 2 yr old spent a long weekend to get some beach time in and wow. First of all, the place was immaculate (and I say that as a toddler mom who's child is constantly playing on the floor -clean floors is a must!). The space was spotless & had everything you could need. The house is so close to the beaches, take a quick walk to enjoy the sunset at the north side beach, or a 2 minute drive down the road to the south shore beach which was a PERFECT beach for little kids. Clean, soft sand, ample space, minimal waves, & lifeguards. The location was fantastic,  set in a quiet, safe, & friendly neighborhood but a short drive to the grocery store, restaurants, family friendly breweries, playgrounds, museums, you name it! Not to mention it was stunning to see the ocean, take in the fresh air, & see the beautiful planted flowers all from the kitchen table. 			Tina’s place was fantastic. She is a great host, had everything we needed. Her home was immaculate. The location is awesome if you want to go exploring, you can walk to the beach. 			This wonderful little cottage is perched on the water, facing sunsets, with light and airy views that actually just make you want to stay put and not go anywhere else!     Easy to find, close to conveniences,  and completely  provisioned.  It's clear the hosts have thought about everything we might have needed.     We were there a week, and stayed in and cooked 3 nights, even though the New Bedford, Dartmouth, and Fairhaven areas have overwhelming dining options and it felt like our own kitchen.   We prefer to visit places off season/shoulder seasons, and covet quiet.   This home delivered.      We're going back. 			Lovely Day was one of our stays with the BEST location. Waking up to the panoramic views of the ocean was so beautiful. The morning strolls on the private beach were serene and even made our coffee taste extra good. Sad to leave after a week long stay. 			This was our 2nd year staying at “Lovely Day” seaside cottage. The time is never enough.  Tina’s place is comfortable, super clean and homey for our home away from home by the sea.  The cottage has everything you can imagine you can need for supplies, cooking and all the comforts of home.  The view from the windows are breathtaking and oh that ocean breeze and sound when you open the windows is worth the stay alone. 			If you are looking for a quiet tranquil area with beautiful views this is the place for you. Sit out on the patio in the evening and watch the sunset. The family area is bright and inviting with beautiful views as well. The  house has books to read, games to play, and some toys for the kids. Go there to destress.  Walk to and have a drink or a meal at Off the Hook. There is also much to do in Fall River and New Bedford if you want to keep busy. We enjoyed the Firehouse museum and Whaling museum with our granddaughter. Great restaurants in the area too.		 - 8/21/2025

			This is a beautiful spot with wonderful sea views from the lovely and grand upstairs room. It’s a very traditional (mid-century) style place so has a strong sense of being lived in by generations of a family. There is limited access to the local seashore but the pass for the local beach (west town) only 15 mins away is a great benefit. We had some very hot weather while visiting and the fridge struggled with the heat, spoiling some of our food. Tina was on the spot very quickly and arranged an auxiliary cooler and also recompensed us for the lost food. Great service and very considerate of our needs and convenience as holidaymakers- so great service all round.		 - 6/28/2025
