It’s also the perfect, centrally located starting point for easy day trips to Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, or Newport, Rhode Island.

The Layout

• Main Floor: A fully equipped gourmet kitchen, an elegant dining area, a spacious main living room, and a cozy secondary sitting room featuring a double pull-out sofa. A convenient half-bath is also located on this level.
• Second Floor: Features the primary bedroom with a comfortable Queen bed, a generous second bedroom with two Double beds, and a full bathroom with in-unit laundry.

Outdoor Living Step outside to the covered back deck and charming, beautifully landscaped yard—complete with a BBQ grill for perfect summer afternoon cookouts.

Beach Pass Policy: For your convenience, a town beach parking permit is provided for your use during your stay. Please ensure the pass is returned directly to the house manual upon check-out. Because these passes cannot be easily replaced by the town mid-season, a $300 replacement fee will be charged for any lost or missing permits to cover the cost and the impact on the next guests to arrive.

This home has been nicely updated, but definitely showed deferred maintenance. There were some issues with the cleanliness of the kitchen floor/items, stained/worn furniture & rugs, as well as a linens issue.....the bathrooms were well cleaned, but other areas seemed to have been missed, and we needed to do some remedial cleaning on arrival. Tina was always quickly responsive, and delivered the needed replacement linen & cleaning supplies, but it wasn't ideal to need to have her do so. In all fairness, we were the final summer renters, so perhaps all the wear & tear from the season had accumulated. The setting is very peaceful & quiet, and the beach pass was put to use every day! The home has good climate control, so the inside temps were always comfortable. Tina kindly provided coffee & snacks, which were much appreciated! If housekeeping and maintenance is caught up on, this home would definitely be a 5 star accommodation!

We loved staying at this bright and spacious house on beautiful and peaceful West Island (Fairhaven). The yard is beautiful too! It's on a quiet side street with easy access to beach and many fun restaurants on the island and in Fairhaven center. Tina was so responsive and helpful. We look forward to next time!

We loved staying at this bright and spacious house on beautiful and peaceful West Island (Fairhaven). The yard is beautiful too! It's on a quiet side street with easy access to beach and many fun restaurants on the island and in Fairhaven center. Tina was so responsive and helpful. We look forward to next time!

We have stayed at a number of houses on West Island over the years, but this was our first time at Strawberry Moon. The location on the north side of Causeway was more quiet and residential feeling than the places we’ve stayed toward the town beach. The house itself is minimally but thoughtfully appointed, very clean and bright. The neighborhoods don’t have much through traffic, which was great for our kids—one of whom learned to ride a bike this summer on the quiet streets!

The location on the north side of Causeway was more quiet and residential feeling than the places we’ve stayed toward the town beach. We had a wonderful family vacation at Strawberry Moon. West Island is a beautiful classic coastal New England Island. The whole place just feels like summer! The house was great-spacious, bright and clean. Our family really enjoyed our time here. It’s a quick walk to The Creamery for lobster rolls and ice cream and a very short drive to the beautiful beach. Visit Off the Hook for delicious mudslides and just walk around the quaint neighborhood. Tina left clear instructions and it was very easy to communicate with her. Highly recommend!

We had such a wonderful long weekend at Strawberry Moon. The house was spacious and well equipped and loved how close it was to the town beach - as well as well situated to have a short drive to lots of good restaurants and coffee shops. And, was only an hour drive to get to Newport!The backyard and back deck were pristine and the outdoor shower was a lovely bonus. The beds were a little squeaky and I do wish there had been beach chairs available to use, but other than that, it was just about perfect. Tina was super communicative and we had everything we needed during our stay. It was a great spot to go with our baby and friends for a getaway!

Tina’s place was cute and a good retreat for our family of 6. We walked down to the little cove to explore and find shells and check out the tide pools. We walked down to the creamery every evening as well and enjoyed their fresh ice cream.

Beautiful island, walking distance to the beach. We stayed during the 4th of July and had an incredible firework show. Easy check-in, very communicative and nice sized house.

My family and I did a week long Northeast road trip and came across this Airbnb as a central location to Newport, RI & Cape Cod, MA. The house is located on a quiet street that was a bit isolated, but everything in town was a short 10-minute drive and the beach was minutes away. The house was updated, clean and had everything we needed for a few days. It was a bit of a tight fit for 6 adults with only 2 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom, but I would definitely stay here again with less people. Overall, we had a great stay and the location gave us central access to several major NE towns.
